BIG WINS from Attorney Neufville

Santa and his elves aren’t the only ones working hard this holiday season! The Law Office of Edward W. Neufville III, LLC  is working diligently to meet all deadlines before the year ends. As we prepare to wrap up this year, we are happy to share with you some BIG wins and urge you to share our information with your friends and loved ones. We are committed to making this a holly, jolly season for all.

Wins! Wins! Wins!

Our client, C.G.  had their Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness (LRIF) green card application pending for more than two years. The Law Office of Edward W. Neufville III, LLC filed a federal court action – YES, WE SUED THE GOVERNMENT– to demand that the government does its work and process the application as required under the law. Approximately 45 days later, our client’s case was APPROVED!! Our client has received their green card and is now on their way to becoming a U.S.A citizen.

Congratulations!

Upon their return, a lawful permanent resident (LPR) client who had departed the United States was stopped by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) because of a prior criminal conviction. Our client’s green card was confiscated and they were ordered to reappear at Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to determine if he would be deported from the United States. The Law Office of Edward W. Neufville III, LLC analyzed the issue, conducted research, and then wrote a legal memo explaining why our client’s conviction did not prevent them from lawfully re-entering the United States. Our client’s green card has been returned and they have now applied for citizenship

Our client, I.G. was in deportation proceedings. During that time, the court temporarily closed the case to allow their son (a United States citizen) to file a petition for them. After that petition was approved, our client was advised to leave the United States and obtain an immigrant visa overseas.  After obtaining the immigrant visa, the government alleged that the client’s green card was issued in error. The Law Office of Edward W. Neufville III, LLC successfully re-opened their immigration case and got the allegation dismissed. Our client can now continue with their naturalization application case.
