The Law Office of Edward W. Neufville III is accepting applications for an in-person Fall internship. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of immigration law.
Responsibilities:
*Draft immigration applications for attorney review.
*Assist in the preparation of cases for submission to
government agencies.
*Assist with the law firm’s case acceptance process by meeting with clients to collect information and documents required for case submission.
*Monitor deadlines and contact clients to follow up on case matters.
*Process incoming case-related correspondence and phone calls.
*Make appropriate entries in the case management system.
*Provide translation and interpretation for non-English speaking clients.
*Provide other related duties as assigned, such as copying, faxing scanning, etc.
Qualifications:
*Education Level: 1L or 2L Student
*Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as within a team.
*Must be well-organized; able to complete work in a timely manner and highly reliable.
*Able to maintain confidentiality.
*Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office package and virtual platforms.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including legal and analytical writing.
This is a full time internship that runs from September to December, 2022. A stipend for transportation and food will be provided.
