Every year the Law Office of Edward W Neufville LLC is proud to welcome Summer legal interns from around the country to spend the summer learning from Attorney Neufville.
This year we are proud to welcome Isabel Williams from The George Washington University Law School and Joseph Frengel from the University of Maryland Francis Carey.
Through a competitive and highly selective process, Summer Interns are chosen to spend two months in intensive work and study at the firm. We are proud to say that only the best and brightest are chosen to begin part of the.

How is it going so far, Joseph?
I have had a great experience in this internship so far. It has been a valuable experience to see how an immigration practice is run. I have appreciated the opportunity to build on my experience working on asylum cases as well as gaining new experiences researching employment visas and working on mandamus complaints. It has also been an opportunity to see first hand the process of working with USCIS and how long these applications can actually take. Overall, the experience has given me more perspective on what the actual practice of immigration law is like, especially in the private sector.~
How has it going so far Isabel ?
One of the benefits of working for a small office is that interns get extensive feedback from the attorney on their work, and get to produce substantive work on a wide variety of immigration matters, from asylum applications to employment visas to removal proceedings. 
This work has made me truly appreciate the effort it takes to immigrate to the United States. Something I have noticed while reading through clients’ applications is how many immigrants open small businesses to share the culture of their home countries once they arrive in the United States. This has made me even more grateful for the positive impact that immigrants have had and continue to have on American culture and society.
